On the Spot Mobile Device Input
Visitor response to various projects and concepts an Balboa Park. Survey responses were input by part visitors by mobile device. The results were instrumental in increased donor contributions and volunteer service.

Financial Reporting
As co-practice leader in the CPA Financial Reporting Forum, Jim Colville is instrumental with ongoing surveys with other CPAs and financial mangers with clients primarily in small businesses, churches, nonprofit organizations and HOAs generally with topic ranging from GAAP reporting and reporting to the stakeholders/members, etc. These surveys have helped in significant better understanding by the stakeholders/member, increasing satisfaction of the leadership, increased revenue and reduced cost. The Forum membership represents over 1,600 entities (members and their clients) in Southern California with a handful in neighboring states.

Voting
While not technically a survey, many organizations struggle with online voting in obtaining higher participation. We helped in getting past member apathy, undelivered email, and determine the actual root cause of past low participation. Of interest, a HOA in Orange County was focused on the members without email (“many of our members are older and don’t use email”). After using Info-Stat techniques it was found that the perceived non email members was around eight and non-resident owners was over 400 in which only 8% were voting. Once this was realized, Info-Stat helped in getting six of the eight older members and over 320 of the non-resident member to vote (and vote timely) in addition to increasing the overall participation from less than 20% to over 80%. Of interest, the members running for office were greatly thankful that their message was heard and most all the HOA member programs had increased in participation.

Our surveys helped churches, nonprofit organizations and HOA leadership profit meaningful and timely information to the stakeholders and members

Additionally, using Info-Stat’s proprietary tools, solar and electricity usage and costs were better understood, helping with member transparency, understanding the electric bill and reducing costs.
